All TSN services at a glance
TSN educational services
Administrative services for the educational institutions are summarized under TSN educational services. This includes the administration of schools and staff, salaries, the recording of absences and individual additional services, extensive business trip management, various controlling instruments and pedagogical supervision.
TSNconnect
The Portal Tirol authentication can also be used for internal school applications via SAML. TSNconnect, for example, enables schools to make web units accessible to students as well. Without this possibility, the administrative effort for the additional access data for students would be too high. At the same time, this increases user convenience and IT security.
TSNmail
TSNmail provides all TSN participants with an e-mail inbox with groupware functionality such as a calendar, contacts and tasks. TSNmail supports all common access types and is therefore compatible with a large number of devices and apps. The TSNmail mailbox serves as a business e-mail address for Tyrolean compulsory and federal school teachers.
TSNmeeting
TSNmeeting is a service from the state of Tyrol for simple video conferences based on the open source software Jitsi. The TSNmeeting service is GDPR-compliant, runs on servers in the EU and is managed by DVT-Daten-Verfertigung-Tirol GmbH.
TSNmoodle
The e-learning platform TSNmoodle supports modern learning and teaching methods. Here "virtual course rooms" are created online for the Tyrolean educational institutions and the students are offered a wide variety of digital learning content. Among other things, TSNmoodle offers the possibility of seamlessly integrating electronic teaching media from LeOn.
TSNschool
In order to be able to use the accounts administered in TSNuser in the local school infrastructure, they are synchronized via TSNschool. This means that the Portal Tirol Account can also be used to register on the school PC. This reduces the administration effort at each school and increases security through the single sign-on procedure.
TSNuser
TSNuser is the central application for user and authorization management. Interfaces to student and personnel management systems offer a largely automated user system and the assignment of standard authorizations for each user type (e.g. students, teachers, etc.). This central database supplies all TSN services with the necessary data.
TSNweb
TSNweb provides the Tyrolean educational institutions with a managed website. Technical administration and security updates are carried out centrally by experts, existing data (e.g. imprint, data protection declaration, lists of teachers, school calendar, timetables, TSNmoodle, etc.) are flexibly fed into the website. The schools only need to take care of the content maintenance via CMS (Content Management System) and the design of their website.
LeOn
The media portal LeOn is the innovative project of the TBI media center for the distribution of educational media via the Internet. Thousands of media collections are available to all Tyrolean schools that have subscribed to LeOn. Films are streamed, other media such as worksheets, interactive exercises or images can be downloaded. LeOn supports the teaching of almost 500 schools.
